we are currently seeking a skilled and motivated infrastructure administrator (windows/linux) to join our client's support team hybrid inboston, ma. This is a 1-year contract with possible annual extensions.
duties and responsibilities- responsible for all functions related to server both os and hardware
- provide (remote) first / second-line technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues
- install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals
- diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner, escalating problems as needed
- collaborate with other it team members to implement and maintain it policies and procedures
- create and maintain documentation for it processes, procedures, and configurations
- stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in it support
- minimum 6+ years of experience supporting windows servers required
- the ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in an enterprise environment
- must have hardware, software, raid config, and patching experience
- proven experience in it support or a related role in an enterprise environment
- proficient in configuring and maintaining windows operating systems, with additional knowledge of linux / wsl
- macos knowledge as a plus
- strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and hardware
- excellent remote troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- experience with it security practices and protocols
- ability to work independently and collaboratively in a regulated environment
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
the hourly rate for this position is between $37.50- $50.00 per hour. factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
