Job Description ## About the Role Counsel is hiring a Founding Data Analyst to join the Fin Ops team and build the data foundation that supports reporting, core operating metrics, and business workflows as the company scales.

This is a high-impact founding role with broad ownership across data wrangling, pipeline development, metric definition, and reporting improvements. You will work directly with the SVP,  Finance & Operations and partner across Commercial/GTM, Finance, Clinical Ops, Operations, and an Analytics  Engineer.

Finance The role requires strong cross-functional communication and the ability to work with senior stakeholders across the business. It is designed for someone who can turn messy data into reliable insights and help improve how the company operates.##

Key Responsibilities – Build and maintain the data foundation used across the business.  – Support reporting needs for product metrics, client/commercial reporting, and internal financial and operating metrics.  – Develop the Operating Scorecard and management dashboards to support business visibility.  – Partner with the Analytics Engineer to validate pipelines and metric definitions.  – Work through messy datasets to produce usable, action-oriented insights.  

– Build and adopt AI-powered tools and workflows to improve Fin Ops efficiency.## Required Skills– Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, applied math, or a similar discipline.  – 3–5 years of experience in a data, analytics, or finance/operations role.  – Strong SQL skills.  – Python or a similar programming language.  – Meaningful programming experience.  – Comfort working with messy, real-world data.  

– Executive presence for cross-functional discussions with senior leaders.  – Genuine curiosity about AI tools and a willingness to use them to reduce manual work.## Preferred Skills–

Experience with dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, or Big Query.  – Experience in healthcare or healthtech.  – Ability to ramp quickly into new tools.## Cloud Platforms & Technologies–   Programming
