Salesforce Solution Architect
Seeking a highly experienced, well-organized, results-driven Salesforce Solution Architect. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, best practices, and the ability to align technology solutions with business objectives.
The Architect will play a critical role in designing and overseeing implementation efforts involving Salesforce Licensing, Permitting, and Inspection solutions.
Responsibilities, Knowledge & Skills
Business Alignment & Solution Design
- Partner closely with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into scalable Salesforce architecture and design.
- Present viable solution options and design trade-offs to support informed decision-making.
- Ensure existing and future designs align with enterprise architecture standards, data governance, and security policies.
- Consult in the design process leveraging the Public Sector Solutions object model to ensure optimal solution options.
- Coordinate on design and implementation of an integrated Salesforce solution encompassing multiple modules and interfacing with multiple systems.
- Review and refine overall system architecture, including:
- Data flow
- Integration points
- Component interactions across Salesforce, Mule Soft, and connected systems
- Ensure consistency and coherence of design across all work streams and prevent siloed decision-making.
- Review, refine, and build upon Salesforce functional and technical documentation.
- Ensure documentation reflects best-practice architectural standards for:
- Performance
- Flexibility
- Reliability
- Scalability
- Security
- Review technical design and provide architecture recommendations for existing and proposed solutions.
- Provide strategic oversight and governance across all solution components, ensuring designs are:
- Scalable
- Secure
- Interoperable
- Standards-compliant
- Articulate and present viewpoints on Salesforce product releases, roadmap features, and implementation fit.
- Collaborate with integration and data teams to define and optimize interfaces between Salesforce and other enterprise systems.
- Understand technical interdependencies and assess impacts on connected systems.
- Guide:
- Data modeling
- Master data management
- Data synchronization strategies
- Ensure data quality and consistency across platforms.
- Advise on Salesforce:
- SOAP API
- REST API
- BULK API
- Manage internal Salesforce development team and provide direction and mentorship.
- Develop solution designs and code compliant with architectural standards and best practices.
- Establish and enforce technical governance aligned with enterprise architecture and security standards.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.
- Mentor junior developers and maintain high-quality code delivery.
- Review technical deliverables for compliance with architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Provide governance and standards across the application lifecycle:

- UAT
- Deployment
- Support
- Coordinate closely with technical and functional work streams to ensure cohesive solution delivery.
- Identify opportunities to:
- Optimize architecture
- Improve performance
- Leverage Salesforce platform capabilities
- Stay current on Salesforce and integration platform releases.
- Advise on enhancements and roadmap impacts.
- Review current implementation configuration approaches to identify:
- Gaps
- Risks
- Improvement opportunities
- Optimization areas
- Review custom code and integrations.
- Experience with Agile and Dev Ops methodologies, Copado, and CI/CD pipelines.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in:
- Computer Science
- Information Systems
- Business Administration
- Related field
- Equivalent work experience accepted.
- Salesforce certifications required.
- Public Sector Solutions experience preferred.
