Four Ways Consulting is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cyber Defense Analyst to strengthen the security posture of a highly regulated enterprise environment. This role is focused on advanced threat detection, threat hunting, incident response, cloud security, and cyber defense operations, helping protect critical business systems, sensitive data, and regulated digital platforms from emerging cyber threats.

As a Senior Cyber Defense Analyst, you will play a key role in monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to sophisticated cyber threats across enterprise, cloud, and endpoint environments. Working closely with security operations, infrastructure, cloud, and compliance teams, you will leverage advanced security technologies to identify threats, conduct proactive threat hunting activities, and lead incident response efforts. The role requires strong expertise with EDR, SIEM, identity security, cloud security platforms, and cyber threat intelligence tools.

Experience working within life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other highly regulated industries will be highly valuable. • Monitor and analyze security events, alerts, and incidents across enterprise, cloud, and endpoint environments.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting activities to identify malicious behavior, advanced persistent threats, and emerging attack patterns.
• Lead incident investigation, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis activities.
• Utilize Sentinel One, Microsoft Defender, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, and Zero Fox platforms to detect and respond to cyber threats.
• Correlate security events from multiple sources to identify attack indicators and potential compromises.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop remediation recommendations following security incidents.
• Support security monitoring and defense operations across Azure and AWS cloud environments.
• Assess and improve Identity and Access Management (IAM) controls and privileged access security.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, cloud, and compliance teams to implement security controls and risk mitigation measures.
• Develop detection rules, threat intelligence use cases, dashboards, and security monitoring enhancements.
• Create detailed incident reports, forensic findings, executive summaries, and security documentation.
• Support cybersecurity audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance initiatives.
• Participate in cyber defense readiness activities, tabletop exercises, and continuous security improvement programs.

• Strong experience in Security Operations Center (SOC), Cyber Defense, Threat Hunting, or Incident Response environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Sentinel One Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Defender security platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of Splunk and/or Microsoft Sentinel SIEM solutions.
• Experience with Zero Fox or cyber threat intelligence platforms.
• Proven experience conducting threat hunting and cyber investigations.
• Strong understanding of incident response methodologies and cyberattack lifecycle frameworks.
• Experience securing Azure and AWS cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts and technologies.
• Experience analyzing security logs, alerts, telemetry, and threat intelligence data.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional technical and business stakeholders.

• Experience working within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences environments.
• Knowledge of GxP compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 regulations.
• Experience with GAMP 5 validation frameworks.
• Exposure to Computer Systems Validation (CSV) processes.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, GCIA, GCIH, GCFA, SC-200, AZ-500, or Security+.
• Experience with digital forensics, malware analysis, or advanced threat intelligence programs.
