Ameriprise Financials’ global Technology team delivers innovative solutions that help meet the evolving needs of our clients, advisors, and employees. As a Technology Intern, you will spend 10 weeks within a dedicated team, gaining hands‑on experience while contributing to impactful projects that support the organizations objectives. Internship assignments and responsibilities vary year to year, reflecting the breadth of opportunities across the technology organization.

For the 2027 summer internship program, we are seeking one intern to join the Asset Management Technology Data Enablement team in our Columbia Threadneedle Investments team in our Boston office.

As a Technology intern, you will gain hands‑on experience to Ameriprise tools, applications, and technologies while contributing to solutions that support the team’s goals and priorities. During the summer, you’ll connect with other Technology interns and LDPs on a regular basis to foster community and build your professional network. At the end of your internship, you will present an overview of your internship and accomplishments to our Technology leadership team.

• Define business requirements
• Develop, document, test, and modify new or existing code
• Develop working knowledge of Ameriprise systems, processes, data, and vendor tools
• Learn and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to the software development life cycle
• Learn new programming languages
• Identify opportunities for process improvement or automation
• Participate in Agile team ceremonies

• Current Junior at a 4-year university pursing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Information Science, Information Technology Infrastructure, or related technical field.
• Graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028
• Interested in gaining broad experience in Technology
• Proven organization skills and ability to manage time effectively
• Ability to work and communicate collaboratively and constructively with others
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
