Summary

The AI Technology Specialist supports the firm-wide adoption, integration, and ongoing effectiveness of artificial intelligence tools across GW&K. This role is a hands‑on technical resource responsible for configuring, connecting, and troubleshooting the integrations that allow the firm's AI tools to securely access GW&K internal resources and data. The role will focus on enablement across the organization.

Building on GW&K's established AI program, including the firm's AI usage policy, tool allocation, and training framework, this role manages the day‑to‑day configuration and maintenance of AI connectivity, agentic workflows, custom agents, and coordinates enablement, documentation, vendor engagement, and reporting across the firm's approved AI tool stack.

The ideal candidate combines a strong technical background with a service‑oriented, collaborative approach. The candidate should have experience designing AI solutions that enhance and enable existing business workflows and tooling spanning across vendors and technology. This role will grow and evolve with time due to the fast‑moving nature of AI products and models in the market.

Responsibilities
  • Support the evaluation, configuration, and onboarding of new AI vendors, tools, and data connections in partnership with Information Technology and Legal & Compliance, coordinating with vendors to ensure secure, compliant access aligned with the firm's data privacy and security standards.
  • Serve as the firm's direct technical resource for AI data connectivity, diagnosing and resolving integration issues and enhancing how AI tools access, retrieve, and act on internal data.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the firm's AI data integrations, including Model Context Protocol (MCP) connections, ensuring approved AI tools connect reliably and securely to GW&K data sources.
  • Create and manage agentic workflows and autonomous agents that orchestrate multi‑step tasks across the firm's data, tools, and AI models.
  • Configure, deliver, and maintain custom agents in the Microsoft Foundry environment, leveraging API access to models from Claude, ChatGPT, and other approved providers, and manage the agent lifecycle from prototype to production.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees on approved AI tools and best practices, identify adoption barriers, and deliver training, user guides, and documentation supported by a central knowledge base.
  • Track and report on adoption, usage, ROI, and business‑impact metrics across AI initiatives, and support monitoring of AI‑related budget and expenses.
  • Support the firm's AI governance practices in coordination with Legal & Compliance, helping ensure AI usage and data connectivity align with firm policies and regulatory obligations as an SEC‑registered investment adviser.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in technical, engineering, or IT solutions/integration‑focused role.
  • Prior experience in the investment management industry, or in asset management, wealth management, or a related financial services field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with AI tools in a business setting with the ability to design AI tooling and solutions that are portable across approved models, products, and vendors where practical.
  • Direct experience integrating software systems and data sources via APIs, including configuration, connectivity troubleshooting, and independent issue diagnosis.
  • Familiarity building and configuring Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar integration standards is a plus.
  • Experience building or customizing agentic workflows or AI agents in any tooling, Microsoft Foundry is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences and document processes and procedures.
  • Self‑starter with an ownership mentality who takes initiative, troubleshoots independently, and thrives in an entrepreneurial, evolving environment.
  • Scripting or development experience (e.g., Python, JavaScript, .NET)
  • Exposure to AI governance, data privacy, or data security considerations in financial services.
