Boston, Massachusetts Open to Remote Direct Hire $110k - $140kAn organization in the insurance space is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives centered around its Duck Creek ecosystem, including major platform upgrades, ongoing release management, and modernization efforts across core insurance applications. This full-time role will serve as the primary driver of large-scale Duck Creek projects, partnering closely with business leaders, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of enhancements supporting policy, claims, billing, and underwriting operations.

Candidates should have a strong background managing enterprise technology projects and substantial hands-on experience working with Duck Creek platforms in an insurance environment.

This opportunity is ideal for a Project Manager who wants to own a highly visible Duck Creek roadmap and become a key stakeholder in the evolution of critical insurance systems. Beyond traditional project management responsibilities, you'll act as the central point of coordination for platform upgrades, release planning, governance activities, and cross-functional business alignment. The organization is looking for someone who can confidently engage with underwriting, claims, billing, finance, and executive leadership teams while leveraging deep Duck Creek knowledge to guide decision-making and drive successful business outcomes Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience leading enterprise IT projects and programs 4+ years of experience managing initiatives involving Duck Creek technologies Prior experience working within the insurance industry Strong understanding of insurance operations, including policy administration, underwriting, claims, billing, and risk management Proven ability to lead multi-team projects with internal resources and third-party vendors Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations Experience coordinating software releases, testing efforts, and production deployments Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies Demonstrated success driving organizational change and user adoption initiatives Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field Excellent communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills Ability to work with project governance, audit, and compliance requirements Desired Skills & Experience Direct experience leading Duck Creek upgrades and platform enhancement programs PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar project management certification Experience working with cloud-based software platforms and digital transformation initiatives Familiarity with enterprise applications such as Guidewire, Salesforce, Workday, or data warehouse programs Experience managing vendor contracts, statements of work, and consulting partnerships Knowledge of change management frameworks and adoption strategies Experience supporting governance, compliance, and risk management initiatives Strong background working directly with underwriting and business operations teams What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown 35% Project & Program Leadership 35% Duck Creek Platform Initiatives 15% Stakeholder & Vendor Management 15% Change Management & Process Improvement Daily Responsibilities 35% Project Planning, Tracking & Execution 30% Business and Technology Team Coordination 20% Executive Communication & Governance 15% Release Management, Risk Mitigation & Continuous Improvement The Offer You will receive the following benefits:
