Our client is seeking experienced Individual Disability Underwriters for a high-impact summer coverage contract. This opportunity is ideal for seasoned professionals with strong Individual Disability Income (DI) experience and established signing authority who can operate independently in a fast-paced underwriting environment.

• Underwrite new Individual Disability (DI) applications.
• Evaluate medical, financial, and occupational risk factors.
• Apply underwriting guidelines to assess eligibility and pricing.
• Exercise independent judgment within assigned signing authority.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely case processing.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

• Minimum 3+ years of Individual Disability (DI) underwriting experience.
• Minimum signing authority of $5,000.
• Strong understanding of Individual DI underwriting guidelines.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Preferred signing authority range: $7,000–$10,000.

• Individual Disability Income underwriting
• Risk assessment (medical, financial, occupational)
• Independent decision-making within signing authority

• Strong collaboration skills
• Regulatory compliance knowledge
• Time management in high-volume underwriting environments

• Ability to process cases efficiently during summer coverage period
• Strong attention to detail
• Professional communication with internal stakeholders
• Group Disability underwriting experience will not be considered (must have direct Individual DI experience)
