ENTRY LEVEL TRANSLATOR

Boston, MA. Auto Gals, Inc. seeks an entry‑level translator capable of interpreting and translating documents between English and a target language. Target languages include Spanish, Arabic, French, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, and German.

• Translate district documents from English to the target language.
• Edit translated documents for accuracy.
• Assist new families with enrollment documents.
• Conduct welcome sessions in the target language for new members.
• Present information in the target language to support new members.
• Provide language support to families visiting the ESOL office and to district staff communicating with families.
• Participate in planning and conduct meetings in the target language.
• Record automated messages and make phone calls in the target language to communicate district information.
• Contribute to day‑to‑day operations of the ESOL office.
• Ensure all translations adhere to district policies and procedures.

• Native or near‑native proficiency in the target language, both orally and in writing.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi‑task.
• Computer literate; proficient with MS Word and capable of typing 40 wpm.

Entry‑level translator required.

• Must be physically able to operate a motor vehicle.
• Light work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree.

• Work routine in a typical interior office environment.
• Very limited or no exposure to physical risk.

Part‑time.

$45.00 per hour.
