As a 1099 Contract Interpreter, you will play a vital role in supporting diverse communities by delivering on‑site interpretation services in a variety of settings. This role offers flexible, per diem assignments with competitive pay, allowing you to build a rewarding and scalable career. We seek reliable, professional, and detail‑oriented individuals who are passionate about language access.

• Provide accurate, on‑site interpretation between English and your target language
• Travel to client locations within a 30‑mile radius of Boston, MA
• Maintain professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and appropriate tone during all assignments
• Deliver clear and complete interpretation without omissions or additions
• Follow interpreter ethics standards set by IMIA, NCIHC, ATA, NAJIT, and ISO, upholding confidentiality, accuracy, impartiality, professionalism, and cultural competence
• Respond promptly to scheduled assignments and communicate effectively with clients
• Uphold strict confidentiality and ethical standards
• Provide excellent customer service in all interactions
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Strong commitment to punctuality, preparation, and professionalism
• Willingness and ability to travel locally to assignments

• Afar, Dari, Farsi, Karen, Kinyarwanda, Kirundi (Rundi), Kurdish, Luganda, Mai Mai, Pashto, Portuguese, Somali, Swahili, Tigrinya, Turkish, Urdu, Vietnamese

• Competitive pay:
  Starting at $25.00 per hour (potential for higher rates based on experience and specialization)
