Responsibilities
  • Oversee the administrative details relating to Business Unit and Legal Practice Area meetings, training and special events.
  • Build and maintain organizational and reporting tools to track personnel, clients, matters, KM projects and other practice area data.
  • Coordinate with key administrative groups (Finance, IT, KM, Marketing, Catering, Conflicts, Talent Acquisition and Learning & Professional Development) to execute priority initiatives.
  • Create a sense of cohesiveness among Business Unit members across offices.
  • Maintain robust practice area web pages and update KM files.
  • Maintain accurate action‑item checklists for Business Unit committees.
  • Provide support for virtual/web‑based events and logistical support for local events when offices reopen.
  • Manage the invitation process, including attendee lists and production of electronic invitations.
  • Attend meetings and special events to stay informed on Business Unit developments.
  • Field general BU and practice area information requests from attorneys and staff.
  • Research and track relevant industry trends.
  • Develop a strong understanding of firm technologies such as iManage, MS Teams, Rainmaker, Expert, and Foundation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience working independently is ideal.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Advanced computer skills, especially with Excel, PowerPoint and HTML; ability to learn new software.
  • Ability to handle pressure and extended hours, working on multiple projects with changing priorities.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills; professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of firm personnel.
  • Sound judgment and creative problem‑solving skills; ability to protect and maintain highly confidential information.
