Position OverviewA leading Boston law firm is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive support to attorneys in the Real Estate Department
. This role is ideal for candidates with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence in legal administration
.
- 3 years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant
- Strong proofreading skills for grammar, context, and accuracy
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office equipment
- Knowledge of law office procedures and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
- Open and manage new client matters; conduct conflict checks and maintain client files
, including periodic reviews and archiving - Organize attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and track deadlines efficiently
- Ensure accurate recording of billable time
; assist with attorney billing, e-billing, and invoice preparation - Process and route incoming and outgoing mail and manage expedited delivery as required
- Maintain professional, confidential communication with attorneys, staff, and clients
- Collaborate with other legal administrative staff, paralegals, and attorneys to support departmental operations
