This position is available in our Boston, MA office and operates on a standard hybrid schedule.
This position works under the direct supervision of a lawyer and provides the lawyer substantive legal services. A lawyer may delegate any task normally performed by a lawyer to a Paralegal, except those tasks prohibited to a non‑lawyer by statute, court rule, administrative rule or regulation, controlling authority, the applicable rule of professional conduct of the jurisdiction in which the lawyer practices, or the ABA Guidelines for the Utilization of Paralegal Services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Serve as the primary case operations lead across multiple complex IP Litigation matters including federal courts, PTAB, and ITC.
- Help design discovery, ESI, and privilege workflows and ensure consistent implementation across matters.
- Develop shell briefs that include procedural histories and integrated references to key evidence to allow attorneys to quickly draft substantive arguments.
- Oversee the entire discovery lifecycle: legal hold coordination (with attorneys and eDiscovery team), custodian tracking, vendor management, and production quality assurance.
- Assist with coordinating PTAB activities, including managing procedural calendars, compiling evidence sets, and supporting hearings.
- Assist with coordinating ITC activities, including compliance with judge‑specific ground rules, confidentiality protocols, and rapid scheduling.
- Coordinate Hatch‑Waxman matters by aligning litigation steps with regulatory events and expert needs.
- Lead logistics preparation required for hearings and motions including Markman, Daubert, and summary judgment.
- Serve as trial captain for logistics, exhibit flow, witness sequencing, technology setup, and real‑time updates.
- Provide high‑level supervision, training, and quality management for all junior paralegals and staff.
- Drafts, analyzes, and prepares legal documents for a supervising lawyer or supervising paralegal.
- Coordinates legal projects and communicates legal information for a supervising lawyer or supervising paralegal.
- Prepares draft communications for a supervising lawyer or supervising paralegal.
- Collects, evaluates, and summarizes relevant facts and legal concepts for a supervising lawyer or supervising paralegal.
- Attends client meetings, coordination meetings, and legal proceedings with a supervising lawyer or supervising paralegal.
- Provides legal project management for a legal matter for a supervising lawyer or supervising paralegal.
- Supervises Project Assistants, Paralegals and Senior Paralegals on assigned tasks.
- Maintains notary license in local jurisdiction.
- Follows all supervising lawyer or supervising paralegal instructions.
