Our client is a fast-growing life sciences company seeking an experienced Corporate Attorney to support commercial, operational, and strategic initiatives across the business. This is a hands‑on, lead counsel role with broad responsibility and high visibility, ideal for an attorney who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will partner closely with business, scientific, and technical teams and play a key role in helping the company scale responsibly while managing legal risk.
Key Responsibilities Commercial & Client Contracting- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer, vendor, collaboration, data, technology, and services agreements.
- Advise business stakeholders on contract structure, risk allocation, and practical deal execution.
- Support corporate governance matters, including board and committee processes.
- Provide day‑to‑day legal advice on corporate and operational issues as the company grows.
- Partner with internal teams and external counsel on intellectual property strategy, licensing, and protection.
- Advise on data ownership, data use rights, and confidentiality in complex, data‑driven arrangements.
- Issue‑spot and advise on regulatory considerations relevant to life sciences, biotech, digital health, and technology‑enabled products and services.
- Support compliance initiatives and evolving regulatory obligations.
- Identify, assess, and help mitigate legal and business risks across the organization.
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor to cross‑functional teams, balancing legal rigor with practical business judgment.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing (Massachusetts preferred).
- 5+ years of relevant experience in biotech, pharma, digital health, or a technology‑focused environment (law firm and/or in‑house).
- Strong background in commercial contracting, including complex scientific, technical, and data‑driven agreements.
- Comfortable acting as the lead attorney on matters and owning work streams from start to finish.
- Collaborative, business‑oriented mindset with the ability to communicate effectively across legal and non‑legal teams.
