Join our Intellectual Property (IP) Team as an IP Clerk located in our Boston office.
Are you a recent college graduate interested in technology, innovation, and law? Greenberg Traurig LLP, a global law firm, is seeking an entry-level Intellectual Property (IP) Clerk to join our IP Prosecution Department in the Boston office.
This role will be based in our Boston office, on a hybrid (4 days in-office) schedule. Regular in-office presence is required for day-to-day operations, as well as for team meetings, training opportunities, and relationship building. This role reports to the IP Prosecution Manager.
Position SummaryThis is a non-JD position designed to give you a behind-the-scenes look at IP law and life at a leading law firm. You’ll gain hands‑on experience with patent and/or trademark processes, work on cutting‑edge technologies, and collaborate with experienced IP attorneys and professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting IP attorneys, patent agents, and paralegals on patent and trademark filings.
- Conducting research and database searches under supervision.
- Preparing patent application documents such as drawings, sequence listings, and information disclosure statements.
- Helping manage client files, deadlines, and correspondence.
- Performing administrative tasks and assisting with special projects.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn.
- Commitment to delivering high‑quality client service.
- Bachelor’s degree (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Experience with electronic document management systems (e.g., iManage) is a plus.
- Online research skills are a plus.
The Expected Pay Range For This Position Is
$29.54 - $30.20 per hour (Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job‑related factors permitted by law.)
