Paralegal

Paralegal – Locations:
Denver, Chicago, or Boston

An asset management company is looking to add an experienced paralegal with 2-3 years of experience to their team, preferably in their Denver office but can also sit in their Chicago or Boston location. This position is hybrid, in office 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support in reviewing and negotiating investment management agreements and other institutional contracts.
• Manage the full lifecycle of intermediary mutual fund distribution contracts, including drafting updates, revisions, and terminations.
• Prepare, review, and assist with a variety of US mutual funds and alternative fund distribution agreements, including:
• third‑party intermediary agreements
• NSCC contracts
• institutional client agreements
• agreements for separately managed accounts (SMAs)
• Assist with SMA relationship and contract management and maintain and organize contract records within a contract management system.
• Support business development and sales teams by reviewing RFPs and due diligence questionnaires.
• Coordinate contract execution with internal and external stakeholders as well as information requests and document production for internal audits, regulatory inquiries, or other research needs.

Must‑Have Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in the mutual fund or broader financial services industry (strongly preferred)
• Direct experience with contract review and negotiation
• Previous experience working as a paralegal
• Paralegal certification required
• Advanced computer skills, including strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
