Sigma, Inc. is seeking a Paralegal – Labor Investigations Specialist to support our client, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (MassDOT), in Boston, MA.

This is an excellent opportunity for a legal writing professional with experience in union environments, labor investigations, grievance cases, and disciplinary hearings.

As a Paralegal – Labor & Investigations Specialist, you will:

• Manage a caseload of union disciplinary and grievance cases

• Conduct case investigations and fact-finding

• Draft detailed investigatory memoranda

• Write disciplinary recommendations

• Present on behalf of management in:

  • Pre-disciplinary hearings

  • Grievance hearings

• Prepare legal documentation and written findings

• Ensure compliance with labor agreements and workplace policies

MUST have strong legal writing experience
Experience handling labor relations, union, or grievance cases
Experience conducting investigations and drafting investigative reports
Ability to manage multiple cases independently
Strong analytical and communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience working in a unionized environment

• Experience supporting government agencies or public sector organizations

• Monday–Friday

• 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hours per week)

• Hybrid role (Mostly remote)

• Required onsite presence at MassDOT locations approximately 4 times per month

• Primary onsite location: 10 Park Plaza, Boston, MA
