Summary
We’re seeking an associate level Paralegal to bolster a 4 person legal team for a full‑time, temporary opportunity. The ideal hire can independently handle routine commercial contracts (e.g., NDAs), execute simple contract amendments, and comfortably switch between legal support and office operations. This role suits someone who is fluent with modern productivity tools and eager to leverage AI‑assisted review and automation to drive speed and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Contracts & Legal Support: Draft, review, and redline routine commercial agreements (with a focus on NDAs and standard templates); process simple amendments; track versions and approvals.
- AI & Automation: Use AI tools and contract review automation to accelerate screening, issue‑spotting, and clause comparison; help pilot chatbot prototypes for FAQs or intake where appropriate.
- Administrative Operations: Coordinate calendars/diaries for legal stakeholders; raise purchase orders (POs); process invoices; maintain matter lists, trackers, and dashboards.
- Process Improvement: Document workflows, surface bottlenecks, and suggest pragmatic enhancements to templates, playbooks, and intake (including opportunities for low‑lift automation).
Qualifications:
- Paralegal experience with the confidence to run routine agreements end‑to‑end and make simple amendments independently.
- Comfortable using ChatGPT (or similar), Docu Sign, Google Docs, and JIRA; appetite to learn and apply contract‑review AI and workflow automation.
- Strong attention to detail, sound issue‑spotting, and a practical approach to balancing risk and speed.
- Willingness to perform both legal and office‑related duties as needs shift in a dynamic environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication; able to collaborate across legal, operations, finance, and business teams.
Nice to Have (Optional)
- Exposure to contract lifecycle management (CLM) or e‑billing systems.
- Experience helping stand up self‑service templates, intake forms, or knowledge bases.
- Independently triage and turn routine NDAs within agreed SLAs.
- Implement or refine at least one lightweight process improvement (e.g., intake form, template tweak, or AI‑assisted checklist).
- Establish reliable trackers for contracts, POs, and invoices, with clear visibility for stakeholders.
