Patent Agent Biotechnology

Our client is a major Am law 100 firm, seeking a Patent Agent for its IP Chemical, Biotech and Pharmaceutical Practice in Boston, Madison, Milwaukee, New York, San Diego, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, or Washington, DC. The salary for this position is between $125k to $200k.

• 2-5 years of patent counseling experience, including preparation and prosecution experience. Law firm experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience drafting and prosecuting domestic and international patent applications.
• Experience preparing patent opinions preferred.
• PhD in the biotechnology field (i.e. Molecular Biology, Immunology, or Genetics), Chemistry, or a related field.
• Excellent legal writing and research skills, academics, and written and oral communication skills.
• All candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
