Description
- The Electro-Mechanical Strategic Sourcing team manages core technologies across RDPI programs with over $800M in projected 2026 spend, 600+ suppliers, and 12,000+ components across 12 categories
- L6 Strategic Sourcing Managers (Tech Bus Dev III) own end-to-end category strategy
- This Commodity Manager supports the L6 category owners by executing RFQ activities for components of lower financial impact, operating within defined financial thresholds
- When quotation results surpass established cost thresholds, the Commodity Manager escalates to the Strategic Sourcing Manager who owns the category for proper approval
- Execute RFQ processes for lower financial impact components across multiple categories (Motors, Sensors, Industrial Automation, Conveyance, Electric Panels, Pneumatics, Interconnect) as directed by L6 Strategic Sourcing Manager
- Manage vendor quote collection, consolidation, and analysis for assigned components; escalation of results surpassing defined cost thresholds to the owning category manager
- Support price variation analysis during the RFQ process, collecting standard price from ERP to enable comparison against new quotes for revision changes and new part introduction
- Define KPIs for RFQ cycle time, quote accuracy, vendor response rates, and identify bottlenecks in the current quoting process
- Support implementation of the future vendor collaboration RFQ tool integrated with PLM and ERP, participating in integration design with Team Center for automated quote capture, approval routing, and automatic data push
- Support the Finance governance initiative providing cost visibility within the PLM change management process for BUY level components on Beta and GA site
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related fie
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain operations, procurement, or sourcing in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Experience executing RFQ processes including vendor quote collection, analysis, and consolidation across multiple suppliers
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement workflows, including purchase order creation and standard cost management
- Experience with PLM or engineering change management processes (ECO/MCO workflow)
- Working knowledge of cost analysis methodologies including price comparison and quote evaluation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel for data analysis and quote comparison
- Communication skills sufficient to interface with global suppliers and internal cross‑functional teams
- Experience with vendor collaboration tools such as SAP ARIBA, Coupa, or equivalent procurement platform
- Experience in high volume manufacturing supply chains, ideally consumer electronics, industrial automation, or robotics
- Familiarity with Agile PLM or Teamcenter and understanding of BOM structures, part lifecycle management, and revision control
- Knowledge of the electro‑mechanical component market including sensors, motors, actuators, pneumatics, or electrical panels
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies applied to procurement process
- Experience with data systems integration projects connecting procurement tools with PLM and ERP platform
The pay range that Tundra in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $32.65/hour – $37.00/hour.
