Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Support or manage projects related to material planning, and/or material purchasing.
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of material forecasts and replenishment models.
- Draft and maintain supply planning models and reports to drive E&O analysis, SKU rationalization, and inventory balancing.
- Drive material and supplier onboarding activities to include the creation of master files, material specifications, and initiation of master data requests.
- Create, track, and publish open order reports.
- Execute purchase requisitions for suppliers and coordinate material deliveries.
- May perform or aid others in negotiation of schedule, delivery, cost, terms, etc.
- Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve quality, delivery, or financial issues.
- Collaborate with purchasing professionals and cross‑functional stakeholders to pursue opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Maintain purchasing master data including lead time, pricing, approved vendors, etc.
- Participate in the development and improvement of materials planning and procurement processes, standard work, and tools.
- Prioritize and perform assignments independently to meet required timelines, providing periodic updates and feedback to stakeholders and managers.
- Maintain strong cross‑functional relationships to bolster communication with all stakeholders.
- Extensive experience in pharmaceutical and medical device supply chain.
- Strong background in raw material planning, procurement, purchasing, inventory control, and production planning.
- Extensive ERP expertise including SAP, Oracle EBS, MRP, and master data management.
- Direct experience with change controls, SOPs, cGMP, regulatory compliance, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Proven success leading ERP implementations, process improvements, supplier management, and inventory optimization.
- APICS CPIM certification, adding strong planning and inventory management credentials.
- Hands‑on knowledge of raw material planning and purchasing processes.
- Experience with ERP and digital planning systems.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with a high degree of collaboration.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely (written/oral).
- Experience with quality management systems (change controls, deviations, etc).
- Strong prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience working in a cGMP environment.
- Experience in clinical and commercial drug product manufacturing environments.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain/manufacturing operations‑related disciplines.
- 3–5 years of work experience.
Certificate / associate's degree with 10+ years' relevant work experience.
