Supply Chain Senior Specialist
Supply Chain Senior Specialist will support Material Operations. The ideal candidate will have Planner/Buyer experience in a GMP/Pharmaceutical environment, experience working with raw materials and ERP systems. Supply Chain Senior Specialist / Buyer will support procurement needs for various sites.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Represents Supply Chain department on assigned project sub-teams and/or task forces and, with general guidance, executes supply chain production activities
- Participates in quality investigations by providing research and analyses
- Implement process improvements to reduce lead-time and eliminate non-value-added activities
- Drive material and supplier onboarding activities to include the creation of master files, material specifications, and initiate master data requests.
- Executes purchase orders for suppliers and coordinates material deliveries
- Purchases materials, equipment, supplies, and services, including those of a specialized or complex nature, following prescribed regulations and procedures
- Prepares purchase orders and order schedules, monitoring and accurately maintaining them throughout their lifecycle, effectively providing feedback to stakeholders on any issues that present risk to plans
- May perform or aid others in negotiation of schedule, delivery, cost, terms, etc.
- Works with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve quality, delivery, or financial issues
- Provides timely disposition of non-conforming materials and maintains supplier performance measurements on quality, delivery, and service
- Compiles and analyzes supplier performance data to enable evaluation and ensure contract compliance
- Interfaces with strategic sourcing to improve surety of supply, supplier development, program spending, and cost reduction/avoidance
- Collaborates with other purchasing professionals and cross-functional stakeholders pursuing opportunities for continuous improvement
- Maintains purchasing master data; lead time, pricing, approved vendors, etc.
- Participates in the development and improvement of purchasing processes, standard work, and tools
- May train and coach new or less experienced team members
- Focuses on immediate and urgent business needs while remaining engaged in continuous improvement
- Prioritize and perform assignments independently to satisfy required timelines, providing periodic updates and feedback to stakeholders and managers
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Performs appropriate transactions in the iProcurement system
- Receives in inventory into ERP and may resolve issues with documentation issues
- Maintain strong cross functional relationships to bolster communication with internal and external stakeholders
Knowledge and
Skills:
- Ability to contribute to complex contract negotiations
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with high degree of effectiveness
- Possesses a distinguished record of delivering on critical project goals and moving projects forward
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely (written/oral) with all levels of the company
- Good understanding of the medical device and biotech industry and market
- Experience with quality management systems (change controls, deviations, etc)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Experience working in a cGMP environment
- Experience working in a start-up environment
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain/Manufacturing Operations-related disciplines
- 3-5 years work experience
- Certificate / Associates Degree with 10+ years' relevant work experience
$60-$70/hr
