Objectives / Purpose
- Develop end-to-end supply plans for innovative medicines in clinical development by translating clinical trial protocols into study supply plans, forecasting product requirements, and partnering with stakeholders to provide delivery timelines and budget.
- Maintain an enterprise view of the clinical supply chain across CMC, clinical operations, and commercial manufacturing.
- Lead scenario planning, supply recommendations, and risk mitigation for assigned clinical programs.
- Serve as primary interface between clinical supply stakeholders (Clinical Operations, Pharmaceutical Sciences/PS, GSQ, Clinical Supplies Operations, Quality Assurance).
- Partner with PS to ensure trial supplies are supported, stability programs are in progress, and appropriate expiry dating exists.
- Coordinate global cross-border supply strategies with Logistics, including controlled substances, trade compliance, and in-country regulatory requirements.
- Build operational supply plans for internal and partnered portfolio; oversee forecasting and inventory management for investigational medicines and comparators.
- Conduct feasibility assessment, scenario analysis, and risk mitigation for new clinical protocols.
- Develop and maintain clinical supply models to monitor assumptions and inventory in ongoing trials.
- Establish enterprise supply/demand modeling, risk identification, and scenario planning; lead cross-functional teams and communicate updated plans.
- Execute the operational supply plan across the development lifecycle and elevate supply risks as needed.
- Liaise with Clinical Operations, PS, and Procurement on CTM/comparator supply levels.
- Use Smart Signals for packaging/labeling/distribution jobs and shipment/inventory management.
- Strong communication and collaboration; manage multiple projects; recognize conflicts and upscale.
- Present professionally to internal/external audiences.
- Comply with GMP, GDP, GCP, Annex 6, EU CT Directive, and controlled-substance regulations as applicable.
- Degree in Engineering/Management/Pharmacy or other scientific/technical field, or significant related experience.
- 4+ years relevant pharma industry and/or contract provider experience;
Post-PharmD fellowship (2 years) or MBA preferred. - Basic understanding of GxP; input into IRT design; proficiency with IRT/Excel; MS Project is a plus.
