Job Description Summary

The Utility/Grounds Worker will be assigned to our Daly Field location. Cleaning of the field house, locker rooms, grounds work and setup of fields before Athletic events.

SCHEDULE:

Tuesday – Saturday

HOURS:

T-F = 8:00AM – 4:30PM / 12:00PM – 8:30PM (Hours need to be Flexible depending on Athletics schedule)

Sat = 8:30AM – 5:00PM

Standard Procedures
  • Clean the Field House on a daily basis:
    Sweep/Mop/Vacuum all floors, clean restrooms, locker rooms, Trainers room, spot wash walls, replenish paper/soap supplies, empty trash, high dust, clean vents and report any deficiencies to supervisor.
  • Restroom Scrubbing as needed
  • Trash removal
  • Must be able to lift up to 75lbs throughout the day
  • Weekends or overtime are required to fit the needs of the college.
  • Landscaping/Utility and Cleaning duties required
  • Mow lawn on a weekly basis and perform any landscaping duties as required by supervisor
  • Use weed edger/Leaf Blower/snow blower as needed
  • Report any maintenance needs for work order preparation
  • Event setups as needed through the Athletics Department Schedule.
  • Setup, removal of outside fence as schedule dictates
  • Daily inspection and work on the pitching mound to be completed at the beginning of each day.
  • Inspection of Turf field and report any areas of concern. Pickup and maintain fields by picking up trash throughout the area, remove leaves and general trash from entire facility.
  • Communicate and Work with sub-contractors to ensure work is done properly and on time.
  • Maintain records of work completed
  • Self-inspect to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Must be able to prioritize work and work independently.
  • Must be able to communicate in English effectively through oral and written methods and understand work orders assigned.
  • Perform duties as required by supervisor
  • Must have valid driver’s license and pass C&W Services Drivers Background Check

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Daly Field - Utility and Grounds work as assigned. During slow periods time may be split between Daly Field and Simmons College. Schedule and work assignments could vary depending on the needs of the college and C&W Services.

* Snow removal is a mandatory responsibility and availability is essential during all winter months*

The compensation for the position is: $21.42 - $25.20
