Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of hospital facilities by performing routine environmental services and floor care duties. Does this position require Patient Care? No
Essential Functions- Sweeps, mops, waxes, strips, and polishes floors; vacuums and shampoos carpets.
- Dusts and polishes furniture, fixtures, equipment, and woodwork.
- Cleans walls, ceilings, windows, blinds, door panels, sills, and other interior surfaces.
- Empties, cleans, and sanitizes waste and recycling receptacles.
- Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, including sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, drinking fountains, and related fixtures; replenishes supplies as needed.
- Removes litter and debris from building grounds and surrounding areas.
- Operates high- and low-speed floor care equipment, including stripping and buffing machines.
- Sets up tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings, events, and hospital activities.
- Identifies and reports maintenance or repair needs within assigned areas.
- Maintains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No
Experience- Experience working with the cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers 2-3 years required.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently but also be a team player.
- Good communication and comprehension skills.
