Main Accountabilities

Ensure compliance with company safety programs and airline requirements, focusing on employee safety, ramp operations, and regulatory standards

Address safety concerns raised by internal teams and external partners, facilitating timely and effective resolutions

Conduct proactive audits, including review of training records, new hire documentation, and adherence to standardized safety procedures and operating guidelines

Lead mock OSHA and ramp safety audits to prepare teams for regulatory inspections and airline evaluations

Provide coaching and support to operational teams to ensure readiness and success in airline audits and compliance efforts

Train and mentor safety trainers to deliver effective instruction for drivers, guides, and coordinators

Analyze trends in employee injuries, aircraft incidents, vehicle damage, and property loss; develop and implement action plans to reduce occurrences

Deliver training on accident investigation and root cause analysis to operational teams

Participate in safety meetings with business partners and stakeholders to align on best practices and shared goals

Attend customer-led training sessions for certification in aircraft door, galley, and equipment handling

Oversee data collection and trend analysis related to safety incidents, using insights to drive continuous improvement

Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, FAA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable safety standards

Collaborate with airline manufacturers on the design and development of new vehicles and equipment for emerging aircraft models

Support company-wide initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence programs

Serve as a subject matter expert across departments, offering guidance and support on safety and ramp operations

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Aviation Ground Safety, or a related field preferred

Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in operations and safety management, ideally within aviation or transportation sectors

Proven expertise in employee safety, ramp safety, and ground handling operations, with strong working knowledge of OSHA, FAA, and DOT regulations

Experienced in building and maintaining effective relationships with airline security teams, airport authorities, and law enforcement at the local, state, and federal levels

Skilled in collaborating with legal counsel to prepare cases, including gathering, preserving, and presenting evidence

Demonstrated ability to influence and support management through strategic partnerships and cross‑functional collaboration

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to train and engage leadership across all levels of the organization

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a focus on clarity and professionalism

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other Windows‑based applications
