At Liberty, our Personal Lines Property & Specialty Product team partners across the company to design and launch home and specialty insurance solutions — from homeowners (property) and condos to renters and other niche lines (specialty)— that meet evolving customer and agent needs. We focus on preparing and executing program rollouts, delivering on our growth roadmap, and modernizing pricing and the technology that supports the work we do.

Organized into five functions—State Management, Development, Delivery, Underwriting Effectiveness, and Specialty—we collaborate closely to meet our goals and help customers feel secure today and confident about tomorrow.

This role is on the Aerial Imagery Solutions Team within the Personal Lines Property & Specialty Product department. Our team focuses on managing and supporting projects that maximize the value aerial imagery can bring to Liberty Mutual. The team’s focus areas can be categorized into two broad components: strengthening existing use cases.

This role will focus on addressing a broad variety of strategic questions at any given time. The chosen candidate will be responsible for integrating analytics, business rationale, design, and valuation to develop actionable recommendations that advance those strategic priorities. The individual in this role will rely on industry knowledge, demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, be energized by building significant depth of expertise, and have experience managing complex, ambiguous, and high‑visibility initiatives.

• Analytics and business rationale:
  Conduct technical and analytical assessments of aerial‑imagery opportunities, query data to perform ad hoc analysis, derive hypotheses, and frame conclusions using sound business rationale.
• Design and solutioning:
  Use analytics to develop solution designs that account for multiple business, operational, and technical considerations while demonstrating strong problem‑solving skills and intellectual curiosity to proactively identify new opportunities.
• Valuation:
  Evaluate the pros and cons of solution designs, including direct and indirect financial impacts to ensure positions are aligned with profitable growth.
• Recommendations:
  Develop recommendations supported by valuation, design analytics, and business rationale; present findings to leadership and drive cross‑functional alignment on required strategic decisions.
• Industry knowledge:
  Apply industry expertise to anticipate upstream and downstream impacts of proposed recommendations.
• Dedication to quality:
  Produce high‑quality, thoroughly vetted work suitable for a highly visible capability area; maintain a strong personal standard of accuracy, rigor, and polish.
• Excitement for building depth of expertise:
  Pursue deep, multi‑layer understanding of systems and workflows to surface unseen implications, anticipate stakeholder questions, and provide thought leadership and innovative perspectives.
• Project management skills:
  Manage complex, ambiguous projects and coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders, often senior leaders, to execute on strategic priorities. Be comfortable providing structure in ambiguity, driving alignment, and shepherding diverse groups toward shared outcomes.

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field; minimum 4‑year relevant work experience, typically 6 years.
• Master’s degree beneficial.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, Emblem).
• Strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision‑making, and communication skills.
• Experience managing projects preferred.
