Position: Big Night Live - Assistant General Manager

Brief Description

As the Assistant General Manager, a typical day might include the following:

  • Managing operations during scheduled shifts in a high-energy concert hall and nightlife environment, including daily decision making, staff support, guest interaction, event execution, scheduling, and planning while upholding service standards, production quality, and venue cleanliness
  • Directly supporting the General Manager, acting in the GM's absence when needed
  • Preparing staff schedules in accordance with forecasted business volume, ticketed events, and show timelines; responsible for adjusting staffing levels based on event scale, artist requirements, and fluctuating nightly attendance
  • Identifying operational opportunities to build sales and control costs; develop and implement plans to address opportunities
  • Exhibiting high performance standards and ensuring all team members are delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced live music and entertainment setting
  • Perform night check outs and audits
  • Investigate and resolve service/food quality concerns
  • Maintain safe, secure and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations; maintaining security systems
  • Other duties to be assigned based on venues requirements
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Staffing, training and developing FOH hourly employees through orientations, ongoing feedback, establishment of performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews on a regular basis
  • Provide a positive, fun working environment for associates
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' upper level management experience in a full food and beverage, high volume upscale nightlife and/or concert hall environment required
  • Must be able to pass Big Night Entertainment Group's requirements in regards to legal background check
  • TIPS Certification a plus and will be required if chosen for the position
  • High School Diploma required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
