The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Assistant Facilities Manager and coordinate the work of 26 Union-represented General Mechanics.
  • Manage approximately one million dollars of contracted services, including contracts that support Life Safety infrastructure (Automatic Sprinkler and Fire Alarm Systems), Elevators, HVAC, Waste Water, and Façade inspections.
  • Direct daily operations, conduct building tours, order supplies, instruct trades, and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Assign daily tasks to the Assistant Facilities Manager and follow up on work orders and scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) work assigned to the General Mechanics.
  • Lead engineering efforts on building operation projects and establish work priorities for Union employees to optimize contracted services.
  • Manage customer (tenant) relations and oversee work order and quality management processes.
  • Monitor and manage operations budgets within areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure delivery of services to patients, visitors, students, tenants, alumni, Deans, Department Heads, Professors and all other employees and staff as requested.
  • Apply the medical campus core values as the basis for decision-making and to facilitate the Medical Campus Mission.
Qualifications

Required Skills: 5-8 years of relevant experience.
