Vice President of Warehouse, Transportation and Facilities

Set performance expectations to meet all Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

• Oversight of all facets of the warehouse operations including inventory, safety, AIB standards, security, maintenance, scheduling, IT tasks and operational efficiency standards, SOP, and basic foundations of receiving, selecting, and shipping in the entire facility.
• Oversight of all financial budgets, audits, and all external partners and vendors.
• Manage the fleet and drivers including oversight of all strategic initiatives, budgets, safety components, and all contracts including fuel, equipment and oversight of all DOT standards and regulations.
• Oversight of the 117K square foot LEED Certified Building including the grounds, operations, maintenance, cleaning, AIB standards, USDA, City and State audits, BERDO agreements and all facets of the building.
• Oversee the budgets, vendors, contracts, safety, including capital expenditures, expansions, and all attributes to maintain and protect the facility and team GBFB.
• Oversight of the Cross Dock operations and all 600+ partner agencies including Memorandum of understanding (MOU) with all facets of the operation.
• Maintain communications within all areas of the business to provide customer support relative to scheduling, preparation, and dissemination of relevant information and updates in a timely fashion.
• Directly manage 4 direct reports (Warehouse, Transportation, Inventory and Agency Relations associates), providing mentorship, training, and development opportunities.
• Cover for the COO and manage 75% of the team.
• Publicly represent GBFB through internal and external engagement opportunities, sharing the critical aspects of the mission.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies in logistics and supply chain management.
• Proven experience in logistics network design and optimization.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree required with preference on an advanced degree.
• 20+ years of demonstrated work experience in customer service and solid performance in a lead role in supply chain and logistics.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Must be available to participate in external events as needed; some flexible hours may be required.
• Ability to work occasionally evenings and weekends, and ability to travel to participate in Feeding America meetings.
• Genuine appreciation of GBFB’s mission and the ability to communicate it.
• Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and communication skills including public speaking and group training.
• Ability to lead in both a strategic and tactical manner while providing guidance and specific direction on an individual basis.
• Excellent customer service skills and professionalism.
• Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment as a strong team leader.
• Strong project management and logistical skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Salesforce, Net Suite, AGI, or other warehouse/transportation management systems.
• Ability to prioritize, be initiative-taking, have knowledge, insight to solve both tactical and strategic initiatives.
• Must be comfortable representing GBFB in a positive professional manner in various arenas.
• Diligence and ability to quickly adapt to evolving needs within the entire production process.
• Ability to be flexible while balancing competing priorities in a challenging environment and ability to meet all deadlines.
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills including coaching, mentoring, collaboration, conflict management, and team building.
• Excellent work ethic, achievement oriented, and sense of humor.
• Demonstrates the required digital competencies that result in the effective usage of the full range of digital technologies at GBFB.
