Job Summary
The Director of Family Office Services will lead the ongoing management of Cambridge Associates' Family Office Services team within the Private Client Practice. The role focuses on strategic leadership, service development, partnership management, and business development to deliver comprehensive family office solutions.
Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership - Refine vision, mission, and strategy for the team, partner with client leads, and establish a robust operating model with service delivery standards, workflows, and performance metrics.
- Service Development & Delivery - Design and implement family office services including design, governance, legacy planning, advisory, and integration with investment management; identify client needs and tailor offerings for ultra‑high‑net‑worth families; ensure exceptional client experience.
- Partnership Management - Develop and manage relationships with external service providers (tax, legal, trusteeship, accounting, concierge, real‑estate, specialty asset management); vet, select, and evaluate partners; coordinate delivery for seamless client experience.
- Business Development & Client Engagement - Collaborate with leadership to pursue new business opportunities; serve as senior advisor to clients and prospects; represent the firm at industry events and conferences; empower internal teams through training and content creation.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (JD, MBA, CPA, CFP, or similar) strongly preferred.
- 10+years of experience in family office services, private wealth management, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in family office design, governance, legacy planning, and advisory.
- Strong network of relationships with external service providers (tax, legal, accounting, etc.).
- Demonstrated leadership and team‑management experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and client‑relationship skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong business‑development acumen and commercial sensibility.
- Strong project‑management and operational‑excellence skills.
- High ethical standards and commitment to client confidentiality.
Base salary range: $181,500–$246,800 per year. Eligible for an annual performance‑based bonus and a comprehensive, competitive benefits package.
