Position Summary

The Integration Manager will lead the successful onboarding and operational integration of newly acquired dental practices into a rapidly growing, private equity-backed Dental Support Organization (DSO). This role serves as the bridge between acquisition close and long‑term operational stabilization, ensuring practices adopt standardized systems, workflows, reporting structures, and performance expectations while preserving provider engagement and patient continuity.

The ideal candidate combines dental operations expertise, financial acumen, revenue cycle knowledge, and change leadership experience to accelerate value creation across acquired practices.

Key Responsibilities Acquisition Integration & Execution
  • Lead end‑to‑end integration activities for newly acquired dental practices across multiple markets.
  • Develop and execute 30/60/90/180‑day integration plans aligned to enterprise operating standards and investment objectives.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional integration work streams including Operations, Revenue Cycle, Finance, HR, Recruiting, IT, Marketing, and Clinical Leadership.
  • Ensure timely implementation of standardized policies, SOPs, systems, and reporting structures.
Operational Standardization & Performance Improvement
  • Establish consistent workflows across scheduling, insurance setup, fee schedules, production tracking, collections, and practice operations.
  • Monitor post‑close performance indicators and implement corrective action plans where performance gaps exist.
  • Drive adoption of operational best practices while maintaining provider engagement and local market effectiveness.
  • Identify operational efficiencies and support scalable growth initiatives.
Revenue Cycle & Financial Integration
  • Partner with Revenue Cycle and Finance teams to optimize collections, reduce AR exposure, and improve cash conversion.
  • Support month‑end close activities and ensure financial reporting accuracy during integration periods.
  • Analyze production, collections, labor, and profitability metrics to support integration decision‑making.
  • Develop executive‑level reporting packages and integration scorecards.
KPI Governance & Analytics
  • Build and monitor dashboards tracking:
    • Production Growth
    • Collections Performance
    • AR Aging
    • EBITDA Improvement
    • Labor Utilization
    • Patient Retention
    • Provider Productivity
    • Integration Milestone Achievement
  • Deliver routine updates to executive leadership and PE stakeholders on integration progress and realized synergies.
Change Management & Leadership
  • Serve as change leader and trusted advisor to practice teams throughout transition.
  • Facilitate training, communication, and stakeholder alignment during implementation.
  • Coach local leadership teams to create accountability and long‑term operational discipline.
  • Travel extensively to support onsite integration execution and stabilization.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field (equivalent experience considered).
  • 7+ years of dental operations, DSO, healthcare integration, or multi‑site operational leadership experience.
  • Experience integrating acquired practices in a high‑growth or PE‑backed environment.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Revenue Cycle Management
    • P&L Ownership
    • KPI Development & Reporting
    • Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Change Management
  • Demonstrated success leading cross‑functional initiatives and operational transformations.
  • Ability to travel 50‑75%.
Preferred
  • Experience in private equity‑backed healthcare organizations.
  • Knowledge of Open Dental, Dentrix, Denticon, or comparable PMS platforms.
  • Experience supporting EBITDA improvement initiatives and integration synergy realization.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement background.
Success Metrics (First 12 Months)
  • Achieve integration milestones within target timelines.
  • Improve collections and reduce AR aging across integrated practices.
  • Deliver consistent KPI reporting and executive visibility.
  • Increase post‑close practice stabilization and provider retention.
  • Support EBITDA growth through operational and revenue cycle improvements.
