The Strategic Account Program Manager (SAPM) enables successful execution of the Strategic Account Executive’s account strategy by translating it into a unified, governed global program.
This role ensures:
- Strategic clarity
- Executive visibility
- Cross‑functional alignment
- Consistent program governance
The SAPM does not own operational execution, but instead ensures the right work is prioritized, visible, governed, and progressing through accountable teams.
Key Accountabilities Strategic Program Leadership- Translate SAE strategy into a clear Account Strategic Program Plan
- Align GBUs, regions, and functions to strategic priorities and milestones
- Maintain a forward‑looking, systems‑oriented view of account evolution
- Establish governance routines (cadence, agendas, scorecards)
- Ensure executive‑ready dashboards, trackers, and insights
- Prepare and coordinate EBRs/QBRs with strong narrative and metrics
- Own and evolve the global digital account playbook
- Define governance models, workflows, and best practices
Ensure operational teams (tendering, services, supply chain, quality) maintain ownership of execution inputs
- Maintain visibility of customer risks, issues, and escalations
- Ensure accountable teams drive resolution
- Integrate lessons learned into strategy, playbooks, and reviews
- Lead onboarding for new account team members
- Support executive onboarding in new countries or regions
- Reinforce strategy, governance, and ways of working
- Adoption and effectiveness of Account Strategic Program Plan
- Governance clarity and action closure across stakeholders
- Quality and impact of EBRs/QBRs and executive communications
- Delivery of 2 strategic, cross‑functional initiatives annually
- Improvement in customer experience through proactive risk governance
- 8+ years in strategic program, portfolio, or transformation roles
- Demonstrated success influencing without direct authority
- Comfortable presenting to executives internally and externally
- Strong strategic, analytical, and storytelling skills
- Digital fluency (Smartsheet, dashboards, analytics, M365)
- Knowledge of data centers and associated systems preferred
- Global mindset and comfort working across regions and cultures
- Partner with the world’s leading cloud and technology companies
