Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) is recruiting for a Product Operations & Best Practices Lead to join the Product Transformation Discipline within the Investor Services business. This high‑impact leadership role defines how product excellence is operationalized across the organization, designing, embedding, and scaling the operating model that connects strategy to execution through standards, governance, and ways of working.
Responsibilities- Partner with the Head of Product Transformation to advance product management practices, client‑centric decision‑making, and product excellence.
- Own and evolve the end‑to‑end operating model, integrating discovery, design, research, prototyping, delivery, and portfolio management into a unified system.
- Translate the transformation strategy into rituals, standards, and governance that drive accountability across the product ecosystem.
- Establish shared standards, taxonomy, templates, and success definitions to enable consistent product team performance.
- Define and lead cross‑functional planning cadences, decision forums, and governance structures to clarify decision rights and acceleration paths.
- Drive adoption of new ways of working across product teams and partner functions through structured change management, targeted enablement, and stakeholder engagement.
- Build and sustain communities of practice and knowledge‑sharing forums to reinforce learning and consistency.
- Define and track KPIs that measure the effectiveness of the operating model and overall discipline health, using insights to continuously refine practices and inform priorities.
- Build and operationalize product competency models, role definitions, and capability frameworks supported by learning, talent development, and structured learning journeys.
- Partner with Human Resources to set development standards and align capability development with performance management, ensuring equitable, inclusive‑by‑design allocation of upskilling opportunities.
- 20+ years in financial services or a regulated environment with strong exposure to asset servicing or asset management.
- Proven track record of establishing or scaling transformation initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Exceptional ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority across functions (HR, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Technology).
- Strong change‑management and adoption expertise.
- Deep understanding of modern product practices and the ability to translate them into scalable frameworks.
- Base salary range: $200,000 – $260,000 (MA) / $200,000 – $260,000 (NY/NJ) with annual target bonus.
