YOU

As an Assistant Director, Facilities Services, you are a strategic and collaborative leader who combines strong operational, financial, and business acumen with the ability to balance long-term planning and day-to-day execution. You leverage data to drive informed decision-making, navigate complex challenges with sound judgment, and build trusted relationships across departments, labor groups, contractors, and executive stakeholders. Adaptable and results-oriented, you effectively manage competing priorities, lead through changing operational demands and emergencies, and foster a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence while supporting reliable, efficient, and sustainable airport operations.

What you will do:
  • Lead the strategic planning, coordination, and oversight of facilities maintenance, building systems, contract services, asset management, and capital improvement programs to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of airport facilities and infrastructure.
  • Oversee facility services operations, including maintenance planning, building controls, contractor performance, asset lifecycle management, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational reliability, customer experience, regulatory compliance, and long-term asset sustainability.
  • Utilize CMMS data, performance metrics, operational reporting, and financial analysis to drive informed decision-making, optimize resources, improve service delivery, and support effective operating and capital budget management.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, Finance, Capital Programs, Legal, Aviation Administration, labor representatives, and operational stakeholders while providing leadership during emergency response activities, snow operations, labor relations matters, and evolving business needs to promote safety, accountability, fiscal stewardship, and operational excellence.
  • Provide leadership during critical operational events, including snow and ice operations, emergency response activities, labor relations matters, and evolving business needs while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, operational excellence, fiscal responsibility, and continuous improvement.
What you offer:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience leading the operation, maintenance, and strategic planning of complex facilities and infrastructure systems.
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in a large, multi-faceted facilities environment, with demonstrated expertise in maintenance operations, asset management, budgeting, procurement, contract administration, capital planning, and organizational performance improvement.
