Director of Family Office Operations
A well-established single-family office is seeking a Director of Family Office Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations, governance, and administration of a sophisticated family enterprise with investments spanning commercial real estate, private businesses, and investment portfolios. This is a highly visible role partnering closely with senior leadership to build scalable processes, coordinate trusted advisors, and ensure seamless execution across the family office.
Responsibilities- Lead governance activities including board meetings, resolutions, entity compliance, and annual maintenance
- Coordinate monthly and quarterly reporting across accounting, investments, and real estate operations
- Support trust administration alongside legal and tax advisors
- Manage relationships with outside attorneys, accountants, custodians, insurance providers, and other advisors
- Coordinate cross-border projects and compliance with domestic and international service providers
- Maintain entity records, governance documentation, and centralized document management
- Drive operational improvements, technology initiatives, and implementation of new processes
- Supervise administrative staff and serve as a primary operational contact for family members
- 8-15+ years of experience in a single-family office, multi-family office, private client, trust, or family office advisory environment
- Experience with governance, entity administration, trust coordination, and complex family office operations
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Financial systems experience (Yardi, Quick Books, Addepar, Archway, or similar) with advanced Excel proficiency
- Experience managing external advisors across multiple jurisdictions
- CPA, CTFA, or similar credentials are a plus
- Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to exercise discretion and professionalism working with ultra-high-net-worth families
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and complex stakeholder relationships
