- Ensure a clear and consistent voice, storytelling approach, and visual presentation across all Center materials, aligned with university standards and accessibility guidelines.
- Develop graphics, gather content, and design the Center's weekly newsletter and other informational materials in collaboration with the Assistant Director.
- Create and distribute promotional and informational materials and circulate drafts to collaborators for review and approval as needed.
- Co-create the newsletter and social media content calendar with the Assistant Director and Graduate Assistants and manage these calendars on a weekly basis.
- Ensure all content is completed on schedule and is accurate, polished, well-designed, and thoroughly reviewed.

- Support campus outreach efforts that increase awareness of the Center's programs and services.
- Build and maintain relationships with key campus partners and stakeholders in collaboration with the Director
Additional Content & Outreach Responsibilities
- Capture and edit photo and video content at events for newsletters, websites, social media, and other Center initiatives and coordinate photo and video shoots as needed.
- Assist with communication around major initiatives, such as biennial assessment, BU LGBTQIA+ History Project, and educational and awareness initiatives.
- Develop resources including training materials, handouts, publications, information packets, and reports.
- Coordinate the printing of office documents, handouts, and promotional materials.
- Manage several Center email accounts and the primary phone line and ensure response in a timely manner.
- Assist the entire team with managing and updating numerous Center databases and directories that are used for outreach and recordkeeping.
- Assist the entire team with research and writing original materials for Center projects and initiatives.
Event Planning & Coordination (20%)
- In collaboration with the Assistant Director and Associate Director, coordinate Center programming, including but not limited to managing logistics (e.g., room reservations, virtual event logistics, ordering food, and arranging travel and technology), setting up and cleaning up after events (including resetting the Center space), in-person coverage of events, and assisting with the implementation of post-event evaluation dissemination.
- Assist with the coordination of receptions, colloquia, lectures, and performances beyond routine Center programming.
- Estimate costs, track expenses, process invoices, and assist the team with contract management, honorarium payments, and vendor management to ensure all Center events remain within budget and maintain fiscal responsibility.
- Ensure team members and co-sponsors remain informed regarding event status and develop itineraries and run-of-show documents as need.
