Deputy Director of Facilities Management - ( 260006DW )

Description

The Lemuel Shattuck Hospital (LSH), operated by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH), is seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy Director of Facilities Management to provide leadership and oversight of facilities operations, regulatory compliance, safety programs, and strategic infrastructure initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Facilities Management, this position plays a critical role in ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient healthcare environment that supports the hospital’s mission and delivery of high-quality patient care.

The Deputy Director partners closely with hospital leadership to advance facilities management priorities, oversee Environment of Care and life safety programs, support policy development, and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements. This role will be instrumental in supporting LSH’s transition to a new hospital facility, helping to establish the policies, systems, operational processes, and compliance frameworks necessary for a modern and efficient Facilities Management program. The successful candidate will contribute to long-term capital planning, infrastructure modernization, and organizational readiness efforts that position the hospital for future success.

LSH is a vital safety-net hospital serving some of the Commonwealth’s most vulnerable populations through specialized acute, long-term, behavioral health, and rehabilitative care services. As part of DPH, LSH is committed to advancing health equity, improving access to high-quality care, and supporting statewide public health priorities. The Deputy Director will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the hospital’s operations, regulatory readiness, and patient-centered environment of care.
