About the Role:

As the Regional Refrigeration Specialist, you will serve as the technical expert and regional leader for commercial CO2 refrigeration systems across Amazon’s expanding North American market. You will drive standardization, reliability improvements, and technical excellence across multiple facilities while ensuring optimal performance and compliance with food safety standards. You will be instrumental in leading Amazon RME towards World Class Maintenance in refrigeration operations.

Key job responsibilities

Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • You will be able to travel domestically up to 80%, providing regional technical support and expertise for commercial CO2 refrigeration systems across assigned geography and ensuring optimal performance and compliance with food safety standards
  • You will lead and execute refrigeration system audits, maintenance quality assessments, and reliability improvement initiatives across multiple facilities within the region
  • You will develop and implement standardized refrigeration maintenance procedures, troubleshooting protocols, and best practices to drive consistency and efficiency across all assigned sites
  • You will partner with site leadership, maintenance teams, central engineering groups, and vendor management to identify opportunities for equipment standardization, cost optimization, and performance enhancement
  • You will be able to travel up to 80% and provide escalation support and mentorship to local maintenance teams and operations personnel on refrigeration system operations, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance strategies
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P) Full Time Exempt experience
  • 5+ years of maintenance or engineering experience
  • 2+ years of commercial CO2 refrigeration applications experience
  • Refrigeration Trade School certificate
  • 5+ years of refrigeration industry experience
  • Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools
  • Experience in communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Experience implementing Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs for commercial refrigeration systems

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
