Job Description & How to Apply Below

As our Lead Product Engineer, you will sit at the critical link that transforms novel alloy breakthroughs into manufacturable, reproducible, and market-ready products. This is a hands‑on role with direct ownership of our productization pipeline with the ability to grow into a people‑management role.

  • Own the end‑to‑end productization of new alloys, taking materials from R&D proof‑of‑concept through to scalable, repeatable, robust manufacturing processes.
  • Define quality standards and inspection or test requirements for alloy products and manufactured parts and document the standards in manufacturing and testing instruction.
  • Develop and maintain raw material specifications.
  • Work closely with Product Scientists in developing processing parameters, manufacturing recipes, and work instructions that enable the manufacturing team to produce alloys and parts consistently at scale.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface between R&D scientists and manufacturing engineers, translating experimental findings into actionable production guidance.
  • Author and maintain material datasheets, characterization procedures, and technical documentation for all alloy product lines.
  • Partner with manufacturing to identify process constraints, reduce variability, and improve yield.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of industry experience in metallurgy, materials engineering, or a related discipline, with demonstrated involvement in product development or process engineering.
  • Hands‑on experience taking a material or component from development‑stage through to a manufacturable, qualified product.
  • Familiarity with alloy processing techniques such as powder metallurgy, heat treatment, or additive manufacturing relevant to demanding applications.
  • Proven ability to develop quality assurance frameworks, write material specifications, and establish characterization test procedures.
  • Systematic, detail‑oriented approach to problem‑solving and process development.
  • Collaborative team player who works effectively across R&D, manufacturing, and commercial functions.
  • Comfortable operating with ownership and initiative in a fast‑paced, resource‑constrained start‑up environment.
  • Strong technical writing skills — able to produce clear, organized documentation including datasheets, SOPs, and process specifications.
