Quality Engineer - SMD & PCB Assembly

Job Description

• Verifying electrical circuit design and PCB schematics and gerber files.
• Creating technical specifications, drawings and work order instructions before being released to production team.
• QC/QA checking of populated PCBs and assembled products against specifications and customer requirements.
• Perform visual quality, dimensional (micrometer, calipers) and optical performance testing.
• Perform incoming PCB and electronic materials inspection to ensure compliance.
• Preparation of COA/COC documentation.
• Maintenance of quality documentation and production logs.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective action plans relating to RMAs.
• Draft quality related SOPs and work order instructions to help train and inform production operators and inspectors.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts/projects as part of team.

• BS in a technical or engineering discipline.
• Manufacturing experience demonstrating ability to perform the duties and responsibilities outlined.
• Prior experience in SMT, PCB and/or electro‑mechanical assembly.
• Diptrace or equivalent experience and ability to create and edit PCB engineering drawings.
• Practical knowledge of quality systems including SPC, control limits and in‑line manufacturing process control.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft PC software (Word, Excel).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with others.
