Maintenance Engineer

Sourcer, importer and packer of 400+ specialty foods and ingredients distributed to local and national food service and retail companies. 40,000 sq.ft. of warehouse space and 3 packing lines (jar line, pouch line and pail packing line).

Takes care of engineering duties in planning and fabrication of tools machines and other mechanically functioning equipment. Performs maintenance, cleaning, repairs, and installation of equipment, machinery, and related facilities. Relays information to management and documents repairs and service.

Responsibilities:

Oversee, manage, and direct all maintenance procedures and operations. Monitor downtime and output performance of equipment. Maintain plant equipment to OEM standards. Provide support and guidance for ensuring all plant equipment are in good repair and meeting production requirements. Root cause failure analysis. Develop and order material as appropriate. Prioritize safety while maintaining Lockout Tagout programs, Hot Work permitting. Document information as required for CMMS ie.

PO, WO, PM. Manage 3rd-party equipment vendors.

Diagnose equipment failures, repair machines, facility repairs, install and replace electric motors, check, and replace drive belts, grease line, check gear box oil levels, plumbing PVC, fabrication of equipment, tools and brackets, clean and sanitize equipment after repairs, document repairs, set up equipment, install new equipment, receiving parts for repairs, clean and organize mechanical room.

Qualifications:

4+ years relevant experience in equipment maintenance.

Knowledge of electrical distribution and controls in an industrial setting.

Knowledge of plumbing, pneumatics, and facilities maintenance.

Electrical control skills.

Ability to read and interpret schematics, electrical and pneumatic drawings, safety rules, operations manuals.

Welding experience.

Flexible 1st and/or 2nd shifts Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Work in a fast-paced environment, be proactive, self-motivated and self-directed.

$28.00-$35.00/hour, O/T + up to 10% Bonus, Profit Sharing Plan, Company Health Plan (80% company paid), 15 paid vacation days, 8 paid holidays.
