Job Summary
Senior Product Developer fully coordinates product development tasks with cross‑functional teams, ensuring project milestones and quality standards are met through strong project management and transparent communication.
Major Accountabilities- Lead and coordinate product development for projects, monitoring all associated deadlines.
- Maintain open lines of communication with sourcing, engineering, product management, design and development teams.
- Apply knowledge of shoe construction and manufacturing processes to evaluate prototypes.
- Identify and resolve potential issues related to material test data, technical wear test data, and technical drawings.
- Drive the Product Validation process on new models to confirm performance, fit and specification requirements, ensuring consistent product quality.
- Conduct product teardowns and cost analysis, recommending trade‑offs between cost, manufacturability and design.
- Perform color, material and upper iterations, and expose new tools.
- Maintain timelines and proactively identify problems to keep projects on track.
- Bachelor’s degree; engineering degree a plus.
- Minimum 5‑8 years of product development experience, including 5 years in footwear.
- Proficiency with problem‑solving tools and a solid understanding of technical drawings, molding processes, materials, wear test data, footwear technology, patterns and production processes.
- Experience developing and implementing new lasts and knowledge of grading.
- Proven record of creative problem solving.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Domestic and international travel may be required.
Boston, MA – (Corporate Headquarters)
Pay: $82,000 to $105,800 to $129,600 Annual (base pay varies by experience, role, equity and location).
