- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience supporting electro-mechanical and/or opto-mechanical products.
- Experience working within an OEM environment, ideally supporting either a fully outsourced/turnkey manufacturing model or an outsourced manufacturing model with in-house final assembly and test.
- Strong experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and transitioning products from development into production.
- Experience transferring products and manufacturing processes to contract manufacturing partners.
- Proven experience creating and maintaining structured Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Experience writing detailed assembly procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing test procedures.
- Familiarity with PLM, ERP, and document management systems.
- Strong understanding of configuration management and document control processes.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and manufacturing process validation.
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail, particularly when managing technical documentation, revision control, and configuration.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally in a dynamic and fast-paced engineering environment.
- Experience with optical alignment, opto-mechanical assemblies, or precision instrumentation.
- Experience supporting low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing environments.
- Experience managing contract manufacturing partners in domestic and/or international manufacturing environments.
- Experience working with advanced technology products and complex engineering systems.
