The RoleAs External Communications Manager at Iterable, you’ll be a key partner to the Director of Communications, helping shape how our story lands with press, analysts, customers, and the broader market. You will design and run communications campaigns that advance our business objectives while reinforcing our position as a category‑defining AI company.
This is a high‑impact role where you’ll craft narratives about our mission, technology, and market momentum, then bring them to life through major announcements, media moments, analyst interactions, and thought‑leadership platforms for leaders across the business. You will regularly support senior stakeholders on external visibility while keeping your hands close to the craft of day‑to‑day storytelling and execution.
- Develop and execute external communications strategies that elevate Iterable’s brand and clearly communicate our story to press, analysts, customers, and partners.
- Create strategic messaging, talking points, and briefing materials for major company announcements and leadership communications across investor, media, enterprise, and industry audiences.
- Lead day‑to‑day PR efforts, including story mining, pitch development, press release drafting, and proactive outreach that results in thoughtful, high‑impact coverage.
- Build and manage relationships with tier‑1 business, technology, and industry media, as well as influential newsletters, podcasts, and creators.
- Support analyst relations by helping craft positioning, briefing decks, inquiry responses, and evaluation materials that clearly articulate our roadmap, differentiation, and traction.
- Partner with internal communications, social, brand, and campaigns teams to extend major announcements into integrated programs that feel coherent, timely, and on‑brand.
- Identify and pursue strategic speaking engagements, awards, podcasts, and byline opportunities that grow visibility for key company experts and leaders.
- Use AI‑powered tools for research, drafting, media monitoring, and insight generation—treating AI as a force multiplier for smarter, faster, more creative work.
- Travel as needed for events, roadshows, and key external meetings, comfortably switching between behind‑the‑scenes operator and on‑the‑ground partner.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- 5‑7 years of experience in corporate or external communications, executive communications, or PR, preferably within a high‑growth technology company or top‑tier agency environment.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex, technical concepts into clear, compelling stories tailored to different audiences and formats.
- A proven record of cultivating media relationships and securing meaningful coverage across business, technology, and industry outlets.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders and subject‑matter experts, building trust through strong preparation, thoughtful counsel, and reliable follow‑through.
