Position Summary
The Marketing Manager plays a central role in executing campaigns, content, and communications that elevate Mass Challenge programs, partnerships, and events. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, this role blends creative storytelling with operational precision to deliver multi-channel marketing that drives engagement and impact. You’ll work across email, web, social media, and event marketing to bring programs to life — coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure campaigns are executed flawlessly, on time, and on brand.

. Curiosity about Mass Challenge’s five Challenge Areas — Healthcare & Life Sciences, Climate & Environment, Global Financial Systems, Sustainable Food Systems, and Security & Resiliency — is a plus.
This position is based in Boston, MA, with a hybrid schedule (Tuesdays and Thursdays in-office). Some event support may require occasional evenings or travel. Relocation assistance is not available at this time.
What You'll Do- Partner closely with internal teams to gather inputs, content, and approvals across programs, partnerships, and events.
- Manage project timelines and stakeholder communications to ensure clarity, accountability, and on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with internal staff and external contractors — including designers, videographers, event vendors, and A/V teams — to ensure high-quality execution and brand consistency.
- Maintain organized shared folders, calendars, and documentation to keep all marketing activities aligned.
- Facilitate project check-ins and follow-ups to keep deliverables moving smoothly.
- Conduct final QA and proofreading of all marketing materials prior to publication or distribution.
- Execute integrated campaigns across email, web, and social to promote programs, partnerships, and events.
- Build and update assets in Hub Spot and Word Press with precision and brand alignment.
- Manage deliverables from external design firms — prepare briefs, consolidate feedback, and track deadlines.
- Create or adapt quick-turn materials in Canva (or similar tools).
- Maintain organized project documentation, timelines, and production files.
- Draft and publish content across newsletters, landing pages, and social channels.
- Collect and curate founder, partner, and expert stories for marketing and PR use.
- Support content scheduling, social media monitoring, and short-form video creation (e.g., Canva, Cap Cut).
- Assist in coordinating press release distribution and tracking earned media.
- Support marketing deliverables for events and showcases (emails, signage, registration pages, printed materials).
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure event materials are accurate, timely, and aligned with brand standards.
- Assist on-site with photography, video, and live coverage as needed.
- Track and summarize campaign, web, and social performance using Hub Spot and Google Analytics.
- Maintain clean CRM data, tagging, and segmentation.
- Ensure UTM links and asset naming conventions are standardized.
- Support content calendars and operational documentation to improve workflow efficiency.
- Use AI tools responsibly (e.g., ChatGPT, Canva Magic Studio) to enhance productivity and creativity.
Education & Experience Requirements
Required:
- At least 3 years of hands-on marketing experience (startup, investor, accelerator, nonprofit, or agency experience a plus).
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management experience, including coordination with internal teams and external partners (design, video, event production, and A/V).
- Proven ability to manage multi-channel campaigns in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Hub Spot (email automation, forms, lists, workflows) and Word Press (or similar CMS).
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a sharp eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Canva or equivalent tools for quick-turn creative work.
