THE ROLEThe Product Marketing
- Senior Strategist develops strategies to support the marketing of MFS institutional investment capabilities across asset classes, investment strategies, and investment vehicles. This individual must have a deep understanding of capital markets, institutional investor needs, portfolio construction considerations, and MFS investment positioning.
The Senior Strategist is responsible for developing and maintaining MFS investment product selling systems, including the development of compelling messaging and collateral to support campaign activities to support the business. These campaigns will build awareness and promote engagement and consideration for the firm's capabilities in partnership with channel marketing. Additionally, the Product Marketing
- Senior Strategist collaborates closely with the Global sales enablement teams, Sales Leadership, Marketing peers, and the Global Product specialists to formulate the market positioning, content development, and measurement.
Furthermore, this role produces and disseminates sophisticated institutional-investor-focused content and thought leadership that translates market trends, investment insights, and portfolio challenges into compelling investment opportunities. The Senior Strategist will also serve as the subject matter expert for integrated marketing materials that position and differentiate MFS with institutional audiences, including corporate and public pensions, insurers, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, consultants, family offices, and outsourced CIOs.
WHATYOU WILL DO
- Implement the Product Marketing Strategy for MFS' Investment Products
- Accountable for developing the institutional product marketing plan and framing MFS investment capability positioning across institutional client segments, leveraging market insights, client needs, and competitive differentiation. Additionally, work with the Sales leaders, Enablement teams, Client strategists, and the Global Product specialists to prioritize and determine the strategy. - Develop and maintain institutional investment capability positioning and sales enablement systems for assigned strategies, translating portfolio offerings, market opportunities, investment themes, and allocator challenges into compelling messaging, sales narratives, and content frameworks. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to define and develop investment product content working with Global Enablement.
- Manage product launches
- Solicit input from key stakeholders within sales, investments and channel marketing to build the necessary content that will drive development of the marketing collateral, and promotions. Develop thought leadership, strategic content, and promotional campaigns that connect macroeconomic trends, market developments, and asset allocation challenges to MFS investment solutions and capabilities. - Align activity with Strategic Initiatives and GTM plans
- Develop a plan underpinned by MFS strategic initiatives to support strategic firm goals.
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and 8-12+ years of total relevant work experience.
- Deep investment product marketing experience focused on institutional investors. Strong knowledge of institutional asset classes, investment strategies, and investment vehicles including separate accounts, pooled funds, CITs, mutual funds, ETFs, and private market structures where applicable.
