A Senior Account Executive at V2 Communications is a proactive strategist and media leader who owns major portions of client programs and sets the pace for media and social initiatives. SAEs lead media campaign planning and execution, cultivate relationships with influential media, and provide trusted counsel to clients. In addition to driving results themselves, SAEs coach junior team members, ensuring deliverables meet V2's high standards for quality and impact.
This role blends hands-on program management with strategic thinking to advance client and firm success.
- Own the earned media program for assigned accounts, leading campaign strategy, execution, and optimization across integrated PR channels.
- Develop high-impact story angles and proactively secure coverage with top-tier business and trade press
- Review and edit deliverables from associate staff, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client messaging
- Draft sophisticated content, including press releases, bylined articles, social content and speaking/award submissions
- Deliver concise, insightful and proactive updates and counsel to clients, on calls and in written correspondence
- Analyze campaign performance against goals and recommend new or adjusted tactics to achieve success
- Assist account management with strategic planning and measurement
- Partner with account management to ensure all integrated account activity happens on time and on budget
- Mentor and coach associate staff, offering constructive feedback that builds skills and confidence
- Contribute to new business initiatives, including brainstorming, proposal input, and pitch participation
- Other duties as necessary
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, English, or a related field
- 4-5 years of PR agency experience, at least 1-2 of which should have been in B2B technology
- Proven success in leading media campaigns and building strong press relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to handle complex, technical subject matter
- Experience reviewing and providing constructive feedback on associate team members' work
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects at once without sacrificing attention to detail
- Collaborative leadership style with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows; familiarity with Muck Rack a plus
This is a full-time hybrid role and will be expected to work from our Boston office at least twice per week, depending on client and team needs. Up to 10% day and overnight travel for client and V2 purposes may be required. We may consider employees based in other locations where V2 has a presence.

CompensationThe expected salary for this role is $70,000-$90,000 annually, and may vary based on experience and qualifications.
