Role SummaryThe Senior Manager, Patient Marketing plays a key role in developing and executing patient-focused marketing initiatives across our oncology portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Patient Marketing, this role will manage day-to-day execution of digital and patient engagement programs, ensuring that campaigns are impactful, innovative, and fully compliant. The ideal candidate brings strong digital marketing expertise, patient-centric thinking, and proven ability to manage complex projects across cross-functional teams and agency partners.
This individual will support both branded and unbranded efforts designed to educate, engage, and empower patients and caregivers across the oncology journey.
This role reports directly into the Director of Patient Marketing, which is part of the marketing organization. The Sr. Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with cross functional partners—including Solid Tumor & Hematology Brand Marketing teams, Advocacy teams, Insights & Analytics, IT, Thought Leader Liaisons (TLLs), Market Access, Regulatory, Legal, and external partners—and will play a critical role in the execution of product brand strategy and priorities.
PrimaryResponsibilities Digital & Campaign Execution
- Oversee development of complex digital projects (CTV, CRM email campaign and other omnichannel programs) in collaboration with creative agencies and Digital Lead.
- Lead execution of patient-facing digital campaigns across websites, email/CRM, social media, paid media, and emerging channels.
- Manage day-to-day performance of branded and unbranded websites, optimizing UX, content, monitor metrics and analytics.
- Support search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), and digital media strategies to drive awareness and engagement.
- Partner with brand marketing, medical affairs, compliance, and patient advocacy colleagues to deliver high-quality programs.
- Navigate medical/legal/regulatory (MLR) review processes to ensure content and campaigns are brought to market efficiently and compliantly.
- Act as the digital marketing lead in cross-functional project teams, ensuring alignment with broader brand objectives.
- Identify and evaluate new digital channels, technologies, and engagement tactics to enhance the patient and caregiver experience.
- Partner with patient advocacy groups and external stakeholders to integrate authentic patient perspectives into campaigns.
- Monitor KPIs and campaign performance to assess effectiveness and ROI.
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize ongoing and future programs.
- Manage and track budgets for assigned programs, ensuring investments deliver measurable impact.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field required.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- I. 6+ years of progressive marketing experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry.
- Minimum 3 years in digital or patient marketing, preferably in oncology or specialty care.
- Experience managing agencies, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies (web, CRM, SEO/SEM, social media).
- Familiarity with regulatory/legal (MLR) processes in healthcare marketing.
- Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with experience using data to guide decisions.
- Creative problem solver with passion for patient engagement and innovation.
