A leading organization in the renewable energy sector is seeking a Manager of Community Engagement & External Affairs to support its growing portfolio of clean energy projects across the United States. This role sits within a broader communications function and works closely with development and operations teams to ensure strong stakeholder relationships and effective project communication strategies.
Responsibilities- Lead stakeholder engagement efforts across all project stages
- Build relationships with community leaders, officials, and partners
- Develop outreach materials and manage public-facing communications
- Coordinate community events and charitable initiatives
- Identify risks, address concerns, and support project messaging
- Manage external PR partners and ensure consistent communications
- 5+ years in communications, public affairs, or stakeholder engagement (energy/infrastructure preferred)
- Strong writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments
- Organized, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Willingness to travel (30-40%)
